Woohoohoo!!!!!
All,
Just picked up the recording and flew through it with FF button.
What an incredible performance. Defense was awesome. DJ with circus catches. JJ did a great job moving around in the pocket.
I hope Jared Williams is OK.
We caught a break on their fake punt and the onsides kick.
Stephon Sanders with the play of the game with ricochet pick!
Looked like a pretty good crowd on our part.
Great day to be a Mustang!
Congrtulations to us all.

You would've enjoyed it MMc. It was a great day and boost for our team and school. The turnout for SMU was a bonus. I'm bad at estimating but would love to hear some guesses?
I root for: Mustangs, Astros & Jets!
Re: Woohoohoo!!!!!
It was a pretty inspired performance from a group that had seemed uninspired and embittered for the second half of the season. Maybe the ASU imbroglio and resultant fallout served as something of a cleansing for everyone.

Flag is flying at my house!!!
SMU! SMU! SMU!
SMU! SMU! SMU!
Re: Woohoohoo!!!!!
I've never seen such beaten-down fans as those from Pitt, even before the game began they seemed a little down-trodden. No 3rd down cheering, no chants, nothing. We even won the pep rally. If you could predict the outcome based on fan body language, the outcome would have never been in doubt. And on the other side, I've never seen smu fans so roudy at a game-maybe the beer ?

And Cole Beasley's dad is a hoot; wish we had many more just like him..

You know I thought the same thing. OUr guys seemed so motivated and JJ smiled a couple of times.......maybe it was the best thing that could have happened to our team---and to JJ. Don't know how long he will seem a little bit humbled, but maybe.........
Re: Woohoohoo!!!!!
Pitt may have been a little flat but SMU appeared to have much more team speed especially on defense. I almost but not quite felt sorry for the Pitt left offensive tackle. Hunt turned him every way but loose and toward the end of the game, the Pitt QB looked pretty tattered. The SMU linebackers can really close on a ball carrier and overall the defense played well with good tackling and real intensity.
Re: Woohoohoo!!!!!
Pitt was a little flat, but that was partly because we jumped out early and ended any doubt about the outcome in the first quarter. The Ponies are a huge part of the reason Pitt looked so dormant.

A great weekend. The game atmosphere was great. Being at the team hotel was a treat and last night with so many happy pony fans was incredible. Gonna savor this experience for a while
