Yes... but according to Doh, "Our defense was exceptional and we only had 7 turnovers." -Spin Dohctor

Just saw that...been thinking the same as TC for a while now. I was originally really excited with the Doh hire, but it CLEARLY hasn't worked out.
This is just a thought...but it hit me the other night while watching Spurs/Nets. How 'bout PJ Carlesimo? I know it sounds odd, but as a big Spurs fan, he was amazing with our offense a few years back. Think we could money whip him (or someone like that with great coaching skills) out of a bad NBA post to the Hilltop???

Love the PJ idea. Always liked him as a coach and he knows the college recruiting landscape. Not sure what he pulls down salary-wise. Does have a history of choking.

PTI guys just mentioned our 28 point performance with Wilbon noting that we're heading to the Big East and he wonders if Doherty will continue to be our coach

No idea what PJ makes, but it just seems like there is bound to be a guy out there like that...who has a great college resume, in an assistant job, etc. etc.
I agree with the Big East comment...I've been cringing about how bad we're gonna get crushed in that league if we don't make any changes. We need to take a page out of the Dr. Jones hire and put some cash behind it. PLUS, in hoops, you can turn things around in a hurry. You get the right guy and he pulls in the next Kevin Durant...you get my point.

Baylor was able to recruit in basketball with the right coaches. I don't see why SMU couldn't with the right coaches.

Easy Charlie...I just mean that it's easier to turn around a basketball team with 1,2,3 good recruits than rebuilding a football squad. And you never know what someone's gonna care about. Dallas is FULL of absolute STUDS. You get a couple of those guys who want to stay close to home, plus the move to the Big East...it's an easier sell than you might think.

PLEASE recruit the same failures as of late. Please please please...makes it much easier for my Jayhawks to continue raping you!!!
Besides, SMU doesn't need to mirror Shady Tim down in Waco. Just wait for the investigations...they're coming!!!

On the bright side, we got publicity.
Do unto others before they do unto you!!

Tim Maloney? Not sure what we did to get in on your nerves, but 22-4 (9-4) is very good for us. I was at the game in Lawrence and y'all were excellent hosts that were VERY friendly. Not sure why you missed the memo.

Because they don't LIVE in Texas/Dallas surrounded by nauseating Baylor fans. Pull us out of the BS Baylor smack talk and like you say, we're generally friendly people.

What [deleted] can we talk to KU? Basketball y'all own us and in football the home team has won every game except for this year. I think you are mistaking excitement for smack.

Fair enough. I just think Baylor fans have had so much rage bottled up that it tends to come off as premature smack talk. I get it. My apologies, most Baylor fans are actually pretty good people.
P.S. I can't stand Drew though.

I agree, I've had season tickets in football and basketball since birth and just graduated this past December. Since 94 we have made 2 bowls and 2 NCAA's and all of those were in the past 5 years. 15 years of almost nothing in the two major sports can drive a fanbase crazy and I'm sure it made some of them think we were better than we really were when we became decent again.
I disagree with not liking Drew
