Doesn't match campus. Looks like a modern reinterpretation. Arrogant architect soiling our campus trying to win a design award?

It fits just as well as the Owens Arts Center does.

Honestly, I wish they would have said 4uck it and had an architect like Pei or Calatrava do something innovative.

Can someone explain to me why there is no screening around that big duct on top of crum? It is visible from all over and looks like patterson. The whole building kids like it got copied off on top so a cheapo screen wall would look better anyway

Always wondered why ATO was allowed to build their house and use something besides the red brick Georgian style that is so prevalent on campus. Guess its been 15-18 years since they got shut down now.

I think they partnered to do the Clinton Library. Now there's a jewel.

More detours and less parking for SMU games.

You can set these photos up for various days and times I guess...haven't looked that closely at it, but gives you some idea as to what it looks like. The north and west sides of the building are much farther along with the brick work etc.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Why did they make YALE Blvd (SMU BLVD) all squiggly and kill all those 40 year old oaks?

Just guessing here, but aside from the asethetics of a meandering roadway, a curved street like that tends to slow traffic down a bit.

Is that to say we need more parking for games?

So disagree with the prevailing opinions here. It does indeed fit the template for non-residence/classroom design of the campus: Meadows Museum, Fondren Science Library, Moody, Crum Center, Ford Stadium. All of these are contemporary versions of the Georgian style. I also applaud the landscaping plans. All in all much more attractive than the Clinton in Little Rock. So there! LOL

yea, the dumpy apartments or whatever was there looked much better or the soccer stadium with the ugly metal bleachers any class 1a school in Louisiann would be proud of.
