Bowl - Playoff question

Conference commissioners will meet Thursday in Ft. Lauderdale to discuss post season play in college football. Conferences appear to disagree on the Rose Bowl and other issues, but all agree the current system must be changed. The BCS contract expires in 2014. Does anyone know what position the Big East will take in these talks? My friends in the SEC favor keeping the bowls, however they would like to tweak the system by adding the Cotton Bowl to the rotation (JerryWorld is JerryWorld). This is what some of my buddies in the SEC would like (not sure what Commissioner Slive favors):

Rose: PAC12 v B1G
Cotton: Big 12 v SEC runner-up or At Large
Sugar: SEC v B1G runner-up or At Large
Orange: ACC v Big East or At Large
Fiesta: PAC 12 runner up or At Large v At Large
The Big East would continue to rotate among the bowls and in the event that a Big East team is ranked in the top two they would play in the bowl closest to the school
#1 would play in their home bowl against #4
#2 would play in their home bowl against #3
A group of people would select the top four teams like in NCAA Basketball tournament and come up with a formula on how the at large teams would be picked (likely by rankings after the conference champions). And, we left off N. Dame on purpose.

Now remember this is from a bunch of half inebriated SEC football junkies. Would the Big East go for this? Just thinking out loud...

Looks like the BE is somewhat relegated to CUSA/WAC/Moutain West status in this scenario....,,,..

The difference would be the BE Champion keeps the autobid while C-USA, MWC, Sun Belt and WAC would have to qualify to reach the top level of bowls. Sorry I didn't write that clearly.
