Wide receiver Stephen Nelson was the longest of longshots, a walk-on receiver who showed up at SMU's 2010 preseason workouts armed with a notebook and a pen. Through the notes he took and his work in the film room and on the practice field, Nelson played in three games ... only to see his 2011 season end before it started because of a foot injury. Nelson visited with PonyFans.com to talk about the injury, how he got through the frustrating rehab process and how he is a different player now.
