U. of Texas championship drought

Post by newshound »

National titles have been scarce recently for UT sports

From the Statesman:

"When you go on the field, it's not about money," DeLoss Dodds said.

So true.

Thanks for posting. I had no idea how well-hung UT was athletically.

Great article but with a state with a growing population and with the NCAA limit on scholarships UT can't get em all. There are hundreds not dozens of great football players in Texas and MAc Browns decisions to go with those that are physically impressive with size or speed compared to football ability is hurting them. give me the ones which are a step slower or a little shorter but with the heart and desire and mix it with good coaching and you got yourself a champion! ie: see Baylor, TCU, Houston and hopefully SMU once they figure out the recruiting side.

How many football championships do Baylor, TCU, and Houston have?

might want to take TCU off that list-they have 7 Football Championships in 12 years. Kansas has won 7 in a row in Basketball right. Texas has 6 Big 12 South Championship in football in the same time period-2 Big 12 Championships in 6 years.

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
