It really is kind of funny that with all the changes we are likely going to be in a Division with schools we have already played in a non-BCS conference. Its still a much tougher conference with a higher profile but it does sometimes make you realize that the BCS has everybody chasing their tails

i guess it is about these conferences continuing to drop dead weight - we now have a strong shot of our division being the best few teams of the old WAC - plus BYU.

And we did that by joining the Big East.

The BE is getting tons of negative media attention and seems to be on perpetual blogosphere death-watch. But if you peel all that crap away, I really do think there is an opportunity to put together an appealing product that could land a good long-term TV deal. If everyone can just hold together until September and not panic, this conference could turn out to be a very good thing for a lot of schools.

BYU has to be kicking themselves for not banging the Big 12 when they had the chance to go home with them from the bar a few months ago

I would prefer BYU over Air Force, and I hope one of the 2 joins so it isn't some goofy uneven conference.

Big 12 and the Whorns wanted BYU to work "hard for the money" on Sundays. BYU said "they ain't workin Sundays!"

Not exactly teams that will be helping to sell out Ford on a regular basis. Definately need to keep the TCU series and have a "rent-a-fan" game with Tech, OSU, etc.

Notre Dame affiliated for Bowl Games, with annual BE FB games with Navy, possibly Air Force and one or two more on a rotational basis.

Navy will scehdule annual games with SMU and/or SDSU
