PHOTO GALLERY: conditioning workouts (including newcomers)

Post by PonyPride »

The SMU upperclassmen have been doing their conditioning workouts and seven-on-seven drills for a while, and were joined this week by the newcomers who will be joining the team in 2012. Our friend Mustangsabu stopped by and snapped off a few zillion photos, and was nice enough to share some with PonyFans.com:

I have seen the freshmen class once this summer, I was impressed with how athletic the group was. O-lineman seem to be as tall as advertised. Lot's of tall, rangy frames, hope we can redshirt the majority of them.

Wasn't there (Thursday, I think), but has been at every other workout I have seen, and often has put in extra time before and after.

Thanks for the first look at the new guys, Pride. Some of these guys look like full-grown athletes already. (Still hope they all redshirt.)

Of all the incoming freshmen, I'm most intrigued with Daijuan Stewart ... he and Burcham could be a record breaking duo in 3 years ...

I agree about WR Daijuan Stewart. That young man looks fast and super talented to me too. I think he probably will become a special WR here, and it wouldn't surprise me if he sees the field sometime this year.

Several guys look a lot stronger than I realized: Shakiel Randolph, Daijuan Stewart, Daniel Roundtree, Chase Walling, Sam Rice.

Parks and Hubert look a lot stronger, too.

Be interesting to see a before and after side by side of Parks, that dude was skinny when he got here. Looks like an elite athlete now.

Nabushosi looks like he could play WR. Good looking athlete.
