Underrated Player(s)

What player(s) on the SMU Roster do you feel are underrated, and don’t get enough credit for the job they do. This can be both a starter and someone on the depth chart. A player who floats under the radar for us fans (maybe even at times is unjustly called out), the media etc. … but when you step back and take a closer look, you say "he’s actually a good player". Give a reason if you want.

I guess I should have answered my own question to start .. no particular order

- Cole Loftin
- Cody Worthen
- Cameron Rogers
- Cameron Smith
- Bryan Collins

Although he graduated, I feel Bradley Haynes was underrated. He set good "picks" for other receivers and was a good blocker.

Currently I would say Torlan Pittman. We were pretty strong against the run last year and that has a lot to do with him - not in real stats but just standing his ground and keeping blockers off the LBs.

i had cameron rodgers in the overrated category.

I doubt this season, but, Longoria is going to be a stud. IMO.

Pittman is definitely underrated. His consistent play in the middle allows our LB's to shine.

I put Jay Scott in the "Breakout" player category. But I don't know that I would call him underrated.

My underrated players would be Bryan Collins, Cameron Rogers, and Jeremy Johnson.

Cameron Rogers should not be a starter, he is very poor in coverage and is not a playmaker. over rated...not under rated.

DJ3. I think he ends up doing more than we even imagined once he has a QB who can deliver a ball that doesn't require a circus catch each and every time.

McJunkin on offense and Pittman on defense.

Pittman is a very, very good player. He allows linebackers to shine.

The moment McJunk went out of the A&M game, their nosetackle dominated the game and Line stopped getting yards. He is a very good center, and we are lucky to have him back this year.

Most underrated last season - Crawford. I don't think folks realize how good he was last season.

Senior NT Spike Davis is talent and strength. Hope he gets to play a lot more this year.
