PonyFans.com Q&A ... with GARRETT GILBERT

Post by PonyPride »

Quarterback Garrett Gilbert has drawn a lot of scrutiny from PonyFans, even before he arrived on campus this summer as he began preparation to compete for the Mustangs' quarterback job. Gilbert visited with PonyFans.com to discuss the process of learning the offense, the status of his surgically repaired shoulder and the role his new teammates have played in his progress.

Enjoy!

Great interview PP and its great to see how Gilbert remembers every detail and every name off the cuff. He sounds like a very intelligent poised young man who will make his mark at SMU. I really look forward to watching him compete in the coming weeks...

Sounds like such a great young man! Really happy to have him for 2 more years... Just hope our young o-line can protect him early on in the season.

My initial thoughts as well, poised, intelligent, GG gets it and that is exciting. Hopefully Gilbert and the offense can jell quickly. Can someone tell me when practices are suppose to begin? Thank you for the interview PP, great job.

I can not wait for the season to start.

Call it a hunch, but I have a strong feeling that if our offensive line can come together well enough to keep Gilbert in one piece, he might just have a sensational season. Sure hope so!
