PonyFans.com VIDEO: Interview with DARIUS JOHNSON

Post by PonyPride »

Senior wide receiver Darius Johnson visited with PonyFans.com to discuss, his expectations for the 2012 SMU offense with quarterback Garrett Gilbert at the helm, his impressions of the other starting receivers and which one of Emmanuel Sanders's all-time SMU records he most wants to break.

Enjoy!

Baller. He's a special player. Going to really miss him after this season. Wish he could have had a medical RS after his freshman injury, so we could get 4 complete seasons of DJ3.

This guy sounds so much wiser and more mature. Hope he has a great senior season.

I looked it up: he has 2,067 yards, and Sanders has the all-time record at 3,791. Doing enough math to be an honors math major at TCU, the means he needs 1,725 yards to break the career record. Stretch that out over 12 games in the regular season, the C-USA title game and the bowl game and that means he has to average a little over 123 yards per game to break the record. If we don't make the conference title game, he has to average about 132.7 yards per game.

Let's win the conference crown and another bowl game, and get DJ that record.

That would make for a hell of a season. I can get on board with this.

Cool vid...I like it! 8)
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
