Ryan Wolcot

Post by hpfan »

Ryan committed...a real game winner and legend like blood lines. He will win games for Phil and eliminate the uncertainty of the kicking game. Was a top five kicker in the country this year. GO SMU..

I knew you guys were concerned about not having a kicker committed. Was this a late development? Who else recruited him? Sounds like SMU is where he belongs.

Okay, I'm getting a hundred e-mail asking me this so I'll put it up here on the board...

I guess it's already been stated that Wolcott was the "big surprise." The questions are as follows:

1) Was/is there another?

2) If indeed Wolcott was the "surprise" why all the hype and secrecy (Removing the thread from the board that talked about it) surrounding it?

3) Was Wolcott that heavily recruited that this is some kind of coup for us?

4) Is he a 4-star or a 1-star?

I guess I'm just dissapointed about the hype surrounding this so-called "big surprise."

That all being said, I am very excited about our class and am excited that Wolcott will be joining the Ponies. I'm looking forward to learning more about our recruiting class tonight and congratualting the coaching staff on a job well-done.

Walcott wasn't the reason the post was removed. I guess we're still waiting to see where the focus of that thread signs...

I see...

Again, I feel the need to reiterate that I am very, very happy Wolcott will be joining us and am thrilled about our class.

Wolcott is a 4 star on the Insiders and a 2 star on Rivals. We still should finish in 1st in the WAC on Rivals and 4th on the Insiders. Quite frankly, Rivals has done a terrible job keeping up with Fresno, Louisiana Tech and Hawii so possibly they could beat us but I doubt it since Rivals doesn't rate JC/CC players as high as the Insiders.

I am a senior at HP. I have a class with Ryan and he was going to walk on at TTech but then got contacted by SMU very recently. He kicked it consistently inside the 5 on kickoffs this past year.
