PonyFans.com caught up with senior safety Ryan Smith to discuss his new role as the team's first-team punt returner. Smith touched on a number of angles, including the challenges involved with catching punts (as opposed to passes), how his baseball background helps him as a returner and how he reacts to being hit instead of doing the hitting.

Ryan is a great kid who has graduated and is in the Masters program in Economics while he plays his last year if football for SMU.
