Baptists playing the Methodists on a Sunday. Funny that FSN didn't mind asking these two Christian schools to move the date to a Sunday to suit their schedule instead of moving a different couple of teams. Money talks, God walks.

You nailed it - East'.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Re: Irony
Granted we will get more exposure by playing on Sunday but if we go with NBC hopefully they will not do that since they are accustomed to deal with Notre Dame.

I didn't realize God didn't want football to be played on a Sunday.

Baylor is barely Baptist, SMU is even less Methodist.

I don't know about Baylor not being very Baptist. Everyone I know that went there was super religious. A girl I know from SMU that transferred from there said she was a science major and had a professor refuse to teach evolution... She said she couldn't stand how religious it was and left.

Plus religion is a requirement there.

Here we go again.
Baylor only requires 6 hours of religion. SMU requires 0-3 depending on which general courses a student chooses.
They are both church schools. Sorry if you don't like hearing that.

This is about as dull as the gays boycotting chick-fil-a over their stance on gay-marriage. No one's holding a gun to people's head and forcing anyone to go to these private schools. You should know going into your enrollment that if the school is baptist, methodist, catholic, or whatever religion/denomination that there's going to be some religious principles taught or spoken about at some point.
If you don't like it then why apply to go to school there? If you find out you don't like it when you get there, then you're welcome to leave.

I bet when you park your car in Waco at Baylor stadium, there will be someone in the parking lot handing out religious material.
That's what I remember from the last time I was there - and the pummeling we took.

Re: Irony
Last time I noticed, Baylor requires all of their faculty to be Born Again Christians. I had a friend who went there a few years ago and was quite upset that they were hounding out any non-evangelical faculty and staff. Not sure if there are any exceptions to that rule but I am pretty sure it still exists.
