Where Are They Now

Just found out from a friend that Logan Turner (was it 2-3 years ago he transferred out from SMU), I don’t recall where he ended up then, but he just showed in Abilene. He was just named the staring QB for Hardin Simmons University (DIII). HSU is one of the better DIII programs in the country. Evidently, he has 1 semester of eligibility left … needs 3 hrs to graduate, but is having to take 12. HSU is about $750 per credit hour, so that is a very expensive semester of football. May be he was eligible for some grant and/or academic $$’s.

I go to UMHB (Hardin Simmons rival) as far as grants an stuff goes they have several ways of awarding academic scholarships and grants. I know several athletes that are receiving academic scholarships that aren't really deserving of them (which irritates me) because I don't receive much and carry a GPA around a 3.5. So I'm sure they'll find a way to get his classes payed for....
