Punting

Post by SmooBoy »

Has our punter ever hit a spiral? And has he ever reached more than 30 yards on the fly? Not that it's a fair comparison, but T Morstead used to hit a spiral on 90% of his punts. Hover tends punt end-over-end. Pretty sad that the SFA starting QB had a better punt than any of ours.

There is no excuse for the punting and place kicking being so inept especially the punting . This just shouldn't happen on this level.

No. But on the other hand, he's never hit his own running back either.

Strange situation. Hover isn't even the best punter on the team. I guess they don't want to have a future defensive contributor at punter.

Craig James.

Was wind a factor? It was blowing tees off all over the south on Saturday...

Sure was...he was able to kick it 37 yards with the wind. Without it, may have been 30 or so.

I'm too lazy to look up the stats but did we even kick it farther than SFA's cute QB kick scheme?
