SMU slot receiver Darius Johnson visited with the media Sept. 12 to discuss when he will return from the concussion that cost him a chance to play against Stephen F. Austin, what it was like to watch his teammates play without him, what he remembers from last year's SMU-Texas A&M game and how the offense compensates when playing in front of a loud, hostile crowd.

Re: PonyFans.com VIDEO: Interview (9/12/12) with DARIUS JOHN
If anyone has the right attitude on this team, it's DJ. He needs to be a vocal leader this week along with Zach. They are kind of low key guys who make plays on the field but they both need to be vocal this week. Get everyone to see this game as a great opportunity to shine and let it all hang out.

DJ is a fine young man, the kind of guy you want to see succeed even if he’s not on your team. Hope he’s back healthy doing what he does best, and sinking up with GG. I think I’m going to start referring to him as the baby face assassin. He may get carded well into his 30’s. Go gett'em DJ.
