On the subject of the Angie band..

Why was the SMU announcer announcing tha the "Aggie band will now play" or words to that effect, during the game? Why were WE highlighting the opponents band? I don't ever remember us doing that for our band (which, in itself, is reasonable). He did that on 2 occasions as I recall, in effect saying "everyone listen while our opponents band rallies the Aggie football team"!

Actually on at least one occasion, maybe more, he did announce that the "Mustang band will now play". Maybe they had a pregame agreement between the bands to not try to play over each other. Don't really know, but he did announce both bands during the game.

there are designated times at the qtr for each band. donest mean we have to announce theirs if you ask me, but they dont ask me.

I stand corrected on announcing the SMU band...thank you for that. However, I still don't like announcing the opponents band. Sorry, I just cannot treat them equally in OUR house.
