They are doing decent. Zach doesn't need a lot of room to run, and they can't give him any.
Re: Good Job OL
D is doing a good job as well.

they are doing a good job protecting the QB, but poor run blocking

Re: Good Job OL
I guess we really have no idea whether these guys can run block.
what might happen if we let them line up in a 2 back set with Wimbley and Line and put a hand on the ground...as we try to punch it in from the 1 yard line??

Re: Good Job OL
I understand this team is built for the R&S...but does that mean we can't have a jumbo package?
what has happened to Wimbley?

Re: Good Job OL
outside of his TD run, Zach ran 14 times and averaged 1.5 yds per carry
not much of an endorsement for the OL's run blocking

Re: Good Job OL
You can see on the line that we don't get a push. No matter what formation we lined up in, we wouldn't get a push with the run.
This was the first game that two things happened:
1) garrett spent a lot of time actually looking down the field, a good sign for the OL.
2) actually went to no back sets, with no protection, which means the coaching staff is starting to get more confidence in the line.

Re: Good Job OL
TCU put an extra man in the box to cover the run and force us to show we could pass. We could not, which is not a total indictment given the weather. They've got a damned good D. We didn't rise to the challenge. TCU wins.Charleston Pony wrote:outside of his TD run, Zach ran 14 times and averaged 1.5 yds per carry

Re: Good Job OL
1.5 yds from the one three more times still would've been good for six
