Yes great job D. We were top 10 in 83 with some very good players. One shut out is hard enough, two is awesome. Especially in today's style of offensive football.

Wrong!! This defense I'd not get shutout in either game. They scored 7 against Utep and scored against SFA.ponyscott wrote:Was............... the last year SMU had two shut outs in a football season...good job to Mason and his boys.

1983, I was a frat boy at Bama and had a healthy respect for the Pony Express. Little did I know then I would end up getting a graduate degree from SMU years later. Started liking the school when they beat Texas - some of you likely remember those games.
