Yes great job D. We were top 10 in 83 with some very good players. One shut out is hard enough, two is awesome. Especially in today's style of offensive football.

More and more, this is seeming like this is Mason's team, not JJ's. His unit is the face of this year's team.

Wrong!! This defense I'd not get shutout in either game. They scored 7 against Utep and scored against SFA.

In both games, they threatened to outscore the offense.

1983, I was a frat boy at Bama and had a healthy respect for the Pony Express. Little did I know then I would end up getting a graduate degree from SMU years later. Started liking the school when they beat Texas - some of you likely remember those games.

The 1983 team would have shut out this SMU team and just about every conference opponent on the schedule. Apples to oranges, fellas. Nice to have two shutouts, but don't get carried away here.
