What would Patterson do?

Post by Mexmustang »

Just to spice thing up...Do you think if Baylor or Tech or A&M had the problems currently being exposed at TCU, would Patterson be out there trying to get their verbals to commit to TCU?

We all know the answer, so why don't we?

I think those problems speak for themselves. If those kind of occurrences don't deter a recruit already, then it's unlikely that what anyone else has to say will either. I also believe that drugs and alcohol are everywhere, and becomes a problem based on an individuals own will. Hell, many of them may think that if enough players get busted, then perhaps their chances of making the playing field will come a bit earlier than they anticipated! I think that the only way that the TCU drug scenario would really change any players minds would only occur under the case of visual evidence that TCU was under investigation by the NCAA.

I don't foresee this having any impact on TCU's recruiting other than maybe going after another QB now (I wished it had a HUGE negative impact, I just don't think it is/will). Why would it? Maybe a few parents would have concerns but . . .

True, all this drug stuff came out months ago and they've gotten several commitments since then, if it was going to have an impact we'd have seen evidence of it by now.

Didn't one of our current commitments also have an offer from TCU?
