Lakewood's 1st & 10. Just a 5 min drive at halftime to some cocktails
Don't back down, the only way people understand that fans are upset is to make a big jaw drop of only 500 people showing up to the "big" game (slaughter). If we all continue to come in our usual numbers, then might as well expect loses to Tulane or at best beating teams like TulaneDutch wrote:Lighten up guys. Its meant to be humorous. I think this is the time to get behind the team. Show support for the kids and let's see if they can improve the execution of the game-plan. We still have half the season. To behave like there is no chance of success is to show the kids we don't believe in their ability. Once the season is in the books, then we can see where we are. But no-one is helped by fans not showing up on Thursday. An it's not going to affect June Jone's job. But like I say, I think the kids are more important than that anyway.SMU_Alumni11 wrote:Don't back down, the only way people understand that fans are upset is to make a big jaw drop of only 500 people showing up to the "big" game (slaughter). Maybe I'm just trying to keep people from going because I'm bitter that I won't be able to go... Grr stupid job stupid Thursday night game if only it could have been on a Friday I would have been able to fly in timeMustangsabu wrote:I think this is the time to get behind the team. I would add that we haven't had any problems not showing up to games. That's not going to change tonight. Players admitted the lack of fan support at 4-1 last year led to decreased motivation. It's gotta be hard to have elevated a program only to have fans obsess about firing your coach and play in an empty stadium...Mustangsabu wrote:I think this is the time to get behind the team. explain to me how that is uncool to the operators of this site please? it's a fan FORUM, not a PR arm of the Athletic department. Or is it?Vitale wrote:Coming on an SMU fans site and promoting the idea of leaving ... to put money in your pocket by buying drinks?
