Congratulations to the players. It has been a difficult year but the UofH game was fantastic. Way to fight back after a difficult lost and a short week. Hopefully this is was the game that gets the offense going and you all run the table for the rest of the year.
Congratulations on a great win and kicking the kitty cats BUTTS!!!
The biggest issue this team has is overconfidence. We play as if we are far superior to our competition, but really aren't there yet. Even with this win, there is not a single opponent left on our schedule that does not scare me, Memphis included.

Definitely agree with this, if we hold this game constant, our main competition is UCF away and Tulsa at home. We need to hope that Tulsa hits a wall since they are like 4-0 in conference play... Lets hope cougs come back and hit them in the face from this poor performance.

gilbert needs to run more. he can actually keep the defense very tired and on the field all game if he takes off on those roll outs.
yeah, GG needs to take off more to give the opposing DBs something to worry about. There were several moments tonight -- and many in the past -- when he sould have tucked an gone.
Despite Gilbert's poor throws I'm glad he never gives up. That first down run should happen more and less throwing with less % chances. Great win, I wish we could hold this defense one year into the Big east. The offense as bad as it might have been has shown that it can make scores just not at the rate it needs to be. They need to draw up more run plays to help out our incoming RBs and hopefully next year Gilbert will notice he's a good strong runner so he doesn't always just throw and hope
I have been harsh to JJ and rip snorting mad about the performance of the team. In the interest of fairness the team looked more prepared and more hungry than they have at any point this season (or since TCU last year) If I am criticizing the coach for the other performances, then I have to give praise for this one. SMU gave up a legitimate 21 points on Defense 1 pick six and two TDs that were more or less garbage time (experience building time). Mason's boys had 3 TDs to cover that. Special teams has been our Achilles heel for years. Ganz's guys played lights out. This team came out ready to play. I really loved seeing ZL working the clock at the end. All that being said, I have to give JJ credit for getting this team refocused and rip snortin' mad for tonight.
In the interest of honesty when the lead dropped to 17 in the 4th qtr and there was 13 minutes left, I cracked open another bottle of bourbon and waited for my heart to be broken. Saunders and Line kept me sober enough to write this.
