The Last Road Win You Saw in Person?

Post by DiamondM »

While I sat watching our team get steamrolled on the road on Saturday -- yet again, I was trying to figure out the last time I saw us win on the road in person. I think it was against Utah in 1998, in unexpected cold wet heavy snow. Neutral site away games in the Hawaii Bowl and Compass Bowl don't count (and even if they did, I couldn't go to Hawaii because, well, some of us with children cannot arrange a last minute Christmas trip across the Pacific Ocean, and I just had a baby before the Compass Bowl -- home games at 16 days old was fine, but a road trip was just not in the cards).

So sad. Too bad we couldn't even figure out how to be modestly competitive against our future Big East conference mate. Sigh.

Love it. Was Benners QB in 50?

Pitt in Compass Bowl, 12 days after surgery.
