2013 Recruits

I was surprised to read that our 2013 class is rated 48, 51 and 54 by Rivals, Sports 247 and Scout respectively. After all I have read here about the poor recruiting, those are not bad ratings (for us) and above most of the New Big East. What am I missing?

The knock so far has been our recruits have no other quality offers, and most other schools have not finished out their classes. When other schools finish up their classes over the next 2 1/2 months they will most likely jump us.

True, we are almost full at 24 commits. A bunch of other schools have less than 15 commits. We just have to see how it pans out after signing day.

The division that SMU is going to is so weak that recruiting really is at a minimal concern. Temple, SDSU, and Memphis have low grade recruiting classes. Looks like JJ lucked out on this one. No reason he should not go bowling next year.

Not sure where the 6 wins are going to come from. A lot will depend on our Eastern draw, our best shot is to get UConn, USF and UCF and none of them are pushovers.

Their class have been much worse than ours for years. So even if 2013 has almost no effect the result will be the same because of low levels recruiting in the prior years by those schools. Terrible division compared to the other.

I would assume that A&M keeps us on their schedule. Normally don't they only buy out games when they are away?
