I'm sorry, but I can't bring myself to root against my alma mater; the future repercussions be damned. Guys like Zach Line, Margus, and Ja'Gared (to name just a few) have played their butts off here and deserve a bowl game, even if the coaching staff doesn't.

I will never root against SMU, but the geldings law prevails...In other words, what I want to see is us win, go to a bowl, and the one with the lei and geldings gone. However, the geldings law is..we win, go to a bowl, and JJ stays..

I think (and hope) this is JJ's last year regardless. I think he's mailed it in and will retire after the season. I could be wrong, and I've been wrong before, but he'll turn 60 this February, and I don't think he wants to ruin his legacy and get embarrassed in the BE next year, and he's smart enough to see the walls are crumbling on his tenure here.
