When Trader Vic's closed and JJ couldn't relax with a tropical beverage after a hard day of recruiting.

Didn't Trader Vics close down in the 80's? I seem to remember the old "Hilton" at Mockingbird ended up owned by a cult for a long time??

Besides "Trader Vic's" at the Hilton, a "Don The Beachcomber" was built on upper Greenville Ave., way back in the mid-seventy's. Julie J. could have moved in there and called it home.

Since the others say Trader Vic's is still open I may try it.

Trader Vic's reopened in 2008 but has been closed for at least two years now.
They ripped out the space and replaced it with the gawd-awful Brackets sports bar that was too overpriced for its own good. That place closed earlier this year.

I saw a werewolf drinking a Pina Colada at Trader Vic's!

His hair was perfect.

I would submit it all started to go downhill right before halftime of the game at navy in 2010

UCF game in 2011 when no one showed up. JJ lost his motivation after that.

I brought family and grandkids to that game. I really didn't feel the crowd was any less than we normally get. I think jj needed to realize that you just don't win a few games and the stadium will be packed. Dallas/SMU fans just aren't like that.

I also think there are a lot of other issues on why he has quit on us. I think the fact that we have not started construction on an IPF, and don't (by his mind) have the 'courses for athletes' that he wanted etc. I have to think that his attitude is ok you don't give me what I need and see what you get.
