BE just replaced 10-2 Rutgers with 2-10 Tulane
What is the world is going on. I wonder what the Louisville, UCONN, USF, and Cincinnati boards are saying.

The BE fuse has officially been lit. Hold on and hope the SMU brass is doing everything possible to make it to the big time.
Re: BE just replaced 10-2 Rutgers with 2-10 Tulane
SMU has a 10 million dollar buyout to get out of the BE.

Ouch! I would rather have fewer teams. As long as you have 9 or 10 football schools you are good. You can always add as needed, but hard to throw teams out.
Re: BE just replaced 10-2 Rutgers with 2-10 Tulane
You can just do that. Plus MWC is weak without BSU and SDSU while the CUSA is a mess.StallionsModelT wrote:F*ck the buyout. RUN!!!!!

Don't worry about Rutgers. They will be back to 2-10 seasons real soon.

No kidding. Wasn't it like a decade ago they were the worst football team in D-1?

10 mil is chicken feed in this game.
I think be was really premature with tulane. A be/acc remainder is actually not a bad conference, but it's currently too big.

Why wouldn't they offer the spot to Tulsa over Tulane? I just don't see the logic. At least Tulsa has had success on the field.

These decisions are based on TV markets plain & simple. You can bet the NBE commissioner is being counseled (by one or several of the networks) in each one of these invitations.
And as for SMU 'running' (away). Where to? LOL!!!

BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
