I was recently on campus and I saw the Chase Bank building is still empty after what? A decade?
Is there any hope that the school can get ahold of this building and property and put it to use?

The Chase Bank closed in 2009 or 2010 when SMU bought the property.
Re: Chase Bank Building
I think he means the bldg on Hillcrest not the one across from CVS
Re: Chase Bank Building
Yes, the one on Hillcrest - thanks for clarifying.

Isn't that one the tall building? If so, I believe the City of University Park has a public library in there.
Re: Chase Bank Building
Not for long. Library is relocating to new 5 story bldg in Preston center

Yup. That building's current use is to serve as a placeholder for a future parking lot.Dutch wrote:No. Smu won't get that.
