Looks like the ASU job made since to me - he positioned himself for a possible dream job.

3rd straight offseason Arkie State has had to go coach hunting.

That's what happens when your best salary offer is $30,000 and VIP status at the local Luby's.

It's a stretch to call him a coach compared to what he gets paid. I don't think that it's a stretch to say he's a coach with the minimum amount of effot required, which is insane considering his salary (he's the highest paid coach for non-FBS teams).

The deal is that Malzahn goes to Auburn and his wife stays in Arkansas.

In reality we have a person who calls himself a coach but is totally disinterested in our university and our program. He is here only to collect his $2mil per yr. until his contract expires and we can kick his butt out of here, to be replaced by a coach that will recruit etc.

Poor Arkie State. Now looking for a 4th coach in four years, with the last three all BBD'ing them as soon as they won.

Huh. I wonder if they would consider going after Petrino. Would make for great water cooler talk.
