Hate to hear that because I think he would have become a standout player, wish him well wherever he goes.

Re: Gehrig Dieter
Given the flashes of talent he showed, I wonder why he wasn't able to crack the lineup if his competition was Holman and Fuller.
I assume just the usual freshman knuckleheadedness that affects athletes and regular students alike.

Re: Gehrig Dieter
Nothing on rivals at this point indicates anything other than close to home... I am not sure what the other speculation is.
It isn't a playing time issue because we all know he was going to run first team in the spring, or at least battle for the spot.
It certainly explains why Fuller was moved outside at the end of the season and why Dieter didn't see any time the last few games. Must have been a decision made a while back.
Either 1) it really is wanting to move back home, 2) he had a disciplinary thing, or 3) he was struggling in school. Not sure.

Re: Gehrig Dieter
Yeah - I see no story, and then on the MB there is a thread where the report is that he wants to go home, and then there is a bunch of speculation with no confirmation?
Was a story pulled that was initially put out there? I thought that only happened here? ha ha, just joking

there were two threads about him on there. and i was referring to the speculation about him. there's no way something like that can be confirmed. a coach isn't going to come out and say that.JasonB wrote:Yeah - I see no story, and then on the MB there is a thread where the report is that he wants to go home, and then there is a bunch of speculation with no confirmation?
