He said that Derek Carr is the best QB that he has faced this year? I guess Johnny Manziel and Nick Florence were just not as good.

For what's it's worth, he did say "might be" which sounded like a nod of appreciation for Carr's skills. If he's anything like David Carr, he is pretty good. Manziel had a great season, obviously, but is not a conventional QB in terms of his skills. I agree with you that Florence was very impressive, but it sounds like JJ is putting Carr in that category without necessarily declaring him or either of the others to be the clear-cut best.

I think JJ looks at the QB position from a pure passer/NFL potential standpoint rather than "best athlete", but knew when I heard that statement that someone would be quick to call him out
