To quit badly on a play. I've watched the replay about 4 times now and each time cannot help but notice the play of our number 23 on Greenhaur's interception retin for a TD. Number 23 rushed Carr well and was blocked then as Carr scrambled to his right 23 just stopped facing away from Carr. No a effort at all to continue to pursue. After a second or two he realized car was running and only trotted towards him as he threw the pass. It was a really half hearted effort and it surprised me. A small matter I know, but I cannot figure out why he just flat quit on the play.

Anyway. Wonderful win for the ponies! So proud of the team!

Not the only time he has done that this season, too bad, Sanders has a ton of talent.

it was an interception, doesn't matter at all unless this is a common occurrence. I really never watch him on defense. I thought he was supposed to be a rising star?

So the guy with contain doesn't chase a scrambling QB late in a blowout. Its a BLOWOUT!!!!!!!

He had right contain and busting it to chase a scrambler would ensure he loses contain. And he isn't trying to create the big play but prevent it with a 30 point lead late in the game. Geez, let the kid do his job and enjoy the moment.

We have to find one play with less than two minutes left to find fault.

I might add I didn't see any players stopping during play and not pursueing on the last three plays of the game when got a sack and a Tackle for a loss. But then I never played college football so what do I know.

I know Sanders got at least one sack in the game and was close on a couple of more, so I don't think we have to worry about him. But if it's a problem, I'm sure he'll hear about it from Mason.

I think I noticed the same thing when it happened-but its just one play-maybe he lost sight of the ball. Sanders is just scratching the surface but hopefully Mason spotlights him more next year with Jagared gone. He looks to have just as much talent as Davis-I just don't see a relentless and agressiveness.

I agree Stallion with all that. I suppose what bothered me is that he was blocked momentarily and turned around so his back was to Carr. He obviously had no idea where Carr was and made no effort to find him. He just stood there then finally turned around and sw Carr being chased by another Pony and took off trotting in that direction. The conduct seemed bizarre so that's why I commented on it.

I noticed the same thing and thought it looked strange. Reed or Davis would never do that.

I figured he knew Greenbauer had that juke in him and wanted to make sure he had a chance to show it off.

I noticed it too. It does look strange, maybe a moment of disorientation when he was spun around. Note the behavior of the other two linemen who were rushing, and even the tackle blocking Sanders stops momentarily.

In his defense, he had sprinted down the field as a lead blocker for Reed's interception taking out Carr for the TD, and he made several plays including a sack earlier. Hustle does not seem to be an issue with Sanders.

Just watched it. He was tired. His legs were heavy. As mentioned above he had just raced down the field on Reed's interception and was going full speed the whole game. I see nothing out of the ordinary with how he acted other than a very tired player which tells me he left it all on the field.

You can probably find an example of that on just about every play...see DJ on Zach's touchdown.
