WOW

Anyone else see the hit, caused fumble, and fumble recovery by the South Carolina kid? One of the best individual plays I have ever seen and I am old.

Yes. I have not seen a hit like that in several years. Then the SC player recovers the ball.
It made up for that awful first down call.

That was an absolutely incredible football play. One of the coolest defensive plays I've ever seen. Clowney is a bad bad man

I keep going back and forth between SC/Mich and UGA/Neb. Both are very good games

For anyone who did not see it, it will be replayed many times. Then a 1 play TD drive afterwards.

I feel like its a real boring day. Only cotton bowl sounds interesting.

This USC-mich game has BE refs. This is reason enough to be warty of the BE.

Yeah. Interesting spot and measurement. I think the official is dyslexic.

that certainly looked like a horrible call...both the original spot and the call to give the 1st down when it appeared an inch or two short...but Clowney wasn't going to allow the game to be lost that way.

Both Clemson and S. Carolina provided some really entertaining bowl games for those of us living in the Palmetto State

Video of Jadaveon Clowney's hit. Holy crap. The Michigan RB's helmet flew 5 yards before it hit the ground. It's not clear how his head wasn't still in it when it landed.

Jon Gruden is less than perfect on the call, though. He mentions Clowney saying something about "you give me this long to catch my 'breas' ...." and then says it's "a power play off the left side (arguable, although the play is made from the right side, since it was made by the defense -- against the left side of the Michigan offense) .... and then caps it off by mentioning how Clowney "ignites himself into the Michigan backfield...."

Ignites himself?

I agree. The Clowney play was one of the best individual plays I've ever seen. How quickly he got to the RB, the hit and the manner in which he picked up the ball was unbelievable. That is a bad man.

And I also agree with Blog, the refs were a joke. The first down call was unlike anything I've ever seen. The ol' ball coach handled himself pretty well because I would've went nuts.

I thought that was a huge hit. Surprised it wasn't flagged, "just because". But its part of what makes football fun to watch.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
