Discussion with Turner
Has this already been reported? Apologies if this is duplicative.

Re: Discussion with Turner
Our only proactive move is to keep winning and win big ones. That may or may not happen with JJ, but I think he will be here for another few years, so let's hope he can do it. I was encouraged to hear about his new emphasis on recruiting and possible new wrinkles in the offense. We'll see. I hope the 'stars' are aligned for us, not just the ones in the sky, but the ones on the field as well (GG, Traylon, et. al.)

Dream Team 9 star UT Backfield circa 2009-all we need is for June to add his offensive "genius" and Hawaiian vodoo magic and we are golden in 2013

Re: Discussion with Turner
The one thing that gives me some hope that JJ is willing to make some offensive changes was the use of a tight end some at the end of the season against Tulsa etc. We lost to TCU, as an example, for not using a tight end on the goal line after returning a blocked kick to the TCU 1 yard line in the third quarter. Also, putting in the 4 man front on D against Fresno State to shut down their good running game speaks of hope for the future against some opponents who favor the run. Doing so earlier in the season would have given us a chance against a similar running team like UCF. The point is sometimes you just can't "do what we do" like in the past. You've got to do what you need to do to WIN.

Gratifying to see that the Daily Campus is maintaining its tradition of journalistic excellence.
"We were in the whack with 16 schools, and let me tell you, it lasted two years. There are so many problems in trying to coordinate all of the oversight of a conference that big."
Wonder if their sportswriter has ever heard of the Western Athletic Conference?

The daily campus is terrible. Seriously people's individual blogs are better written, interesting and isn't so liberal loving.... The only time, if boredom becomes unbearable, I read the DC is the sports section which is pretty horrible at times... The sad thing is no one there even seems to care about our athletics.PerunaPunch wrote:Gratifying to see that the Daily Campus is maintaining its tradition of journalistic excellence.

Very true. Only they have news stands all over the place whereas at high school and jr high, I think Robin Hood killed our program, but if they were around they had to be special order so basically parents lol.Bergermeister wrote:Remember the dorks who were on the newspaper staff in junior high, then high school... these are the same folks... only a few years older. I continue to be amazed by the Fox News crowds' ability to see liberal bias everywhere. In the DC? Are you kidding me?SMU_Alumni11 wrote:The daily campus is terrible. That was certainly true in my day, early 2000s. One guy was obsessed with linking every subject, no matter what, to his belief that Kissinger should be tried for war crimes.

Are you that blind (or have yet to read an article)? Or do you not know the difference between conservative and liberal writings. Neither are mutually exclusive as it appears based on the "Fox News crowds" comment, lolBigT3x wrote:I continue to be amazed by the Fox News crowds' ability to see liberal bias everywhere. In the DC? Liberal bias IS everywhere, Clyde.
And thanks to you, even on ponyfans.
