Running back Traylon Shead, defensive back Nate Halverson and slot receiver Deion Sanders all are enrolled and on campus for spring semester.

Re: Early enrollees
To have to like their commitment to be competitive soon. Looks like they want to play as freshman. Nice.PonyPride wrote:Running back Traylon Shead, defensive back Nate Halverson and slot receiver Deion Sanders all are enrolled and on campus for spring semester.

Didn't realize all three were in school already. Thanks, PP.

Re: Early enrollees
Most important is Shead. Get in early, get situated/familiar with campus/classes/coaches/facilities. Hit the ground running (pun intended) this Spring. I think he is a very serious minded kid who plans on starting right away with an eye towards getting into the league. Getting here early to learn the offense/blocking assignments will be key for him to do that. Also, now that we have some true depth at the position with Wimbley, Nlemchi, Line, (perhaps Williams now, too), Shead won't have to carry the entire load like Zline did. Really excited to see him in a Mustangs uniform.
Re: Early enrollees
We had the same depth last year. If Shead or someone else really separates from the crowd, I would expect he'll get the majority of the carries, just like Zach Line did.
I'm particularly curious to see Nlemchi step forward. I think he's got a world of physical ability, and would love to see him really make a push for the starting job.

"What kind of weirdo school are they running over there in Fort Worth?"

Didn't have Williams last year. And he seemed to be the only one besides Wimbley getting reps while Line was out. Plus, the other Line redshirted last year.PonyFan wrote:We had the same depth last year.
