The transfer from Laney College - the same JC that produced former SMU DB Sterling Moore - eschewed two scholarship offers to walk on at SMU, and now finds himself competing for a chance at the Ponies' crowded quarterback position. Big kid who sounds intelligent and sounds like the desire and willingness to work are there.
If he has a strong arm, at the very worst, he's an excellent practice QB. At best, he turns out to be a player, and he costs the team no scholarship dollars.
