In response to NBC story "Ex-UM coach: allegations 'paled in comparison' to unreported violations in SEC,"

The real underlining point of the treatment of the "unnamed former Hurricane coach’s" allegations and what you wrote, Ben, is that the whole damned bunch at the NCAA and sportswriters as well are disgustingly afraid to say anything too harsh about the SEC. Too much TV money potentially lost by a besmirched SEC is at the crux of the matter. The SEC has’em (NCAA and the sports media) all by the gonads and the gutlessness of NBC, sportswriters generally and the whole TV sports network system is too damned evident by the implication of this one little paragraph written by Ben Kercheval:
"Without any names or examples, it’s hard to take that kind of clich├â┬⌐ accusation seriously. Or, perhaps SEC programs followed Andy Staples‘ seven steps to successful cheating. Besides, it’s UM that’s under the microscope here, not the SEC. Attempting call someone else out isn’t going to change anything."
If such "cliche" allegations were made about a BYU, Tulsa, SMU or a U of Houston or just about anyone outside the SEC or the Big10, the NCAA and the rabid wing of the sportswriters fraternity would have a Piranha feeding frenzy turning allegations into real crimes of the century and hanging mobs would pop out of wood-works all over the USA…except in the Old Confederacy!!!!!!
I think the last paragraph about sums it up.
This sums it up nicely
