Bo Levi to start first game for the Calgary Stampeders...I know I know he is not a SMU grad...but I still like his sticktoitniveness....

WINNIPEG - Bo Levi Mitchell threw a trio of touchdown passes in his first CFL start and Rene Paredes made all five of his field-goal attempts as the Calgary Stampeders defeated the Winnipeg Bombers 37-24 Friday night.

Mitchell, Calgary’s third-stringer, got the start ahead of Drew Tate, who sat out with a forearm injury and Kevin Glenn, who is out with an elbow injury.

Mitchell completed 29 of 33 pass attempts for 376 yards, three TDs and no interceptions. Goltz was 19-of-35 for 194 yards, two TDs and one interception.

Wow, good for Bo Levi. I guess we can claim him since we recruited him and gave him his first starts. We love him before we didn't, after we did.

I wish he had had a game like that for us. Maybe he wouldn't have had to transfer.

Good luck to him though. He has really had some on field success since leaving.

He's going to be a starter next year one way or another. Either Calgary will give him the job, or the expansion Ottawa RedBlacks will draft him to be their franchise QB in the Expansion Draft. Either way we'll be hearing a lot about him!

He put up very similar numbers for us...plus 3-4 int's. He could sling it, move the sticks and throw some picks
