Question about Vincent Chase...

Post by CoxSMU »

Does anyone know how solid his commitment is? I am not saying anything, but just hoping. A winless season so far doesn't look good...Just wondering what exactly Chases's situation is?

Just speculating, but I imagine it is pretty solid considering his brother is going to come here, too.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

don't even mention the possibility of our losing the "Irving" connection. The Chase brothers, along with the Hall brothers, are going to be a big part of turning SMU's football fortunes around.

Don't even mention it? I think its a valid concern. Maybe not for the Chase brothers...but for recruits in general...We are winless, CP. It is something we should talk about because I think it could be concerning...Recruiting is the future...

probably a valid concern for all of the recruits, BOTH this years recruits AND last years.

As you would expect with any top recruit, Vincent Chase still is hearing from other schools (most frequent callers are Kansas State and Florida). But he said this week that he's still committed to SMU.

I don't doubt that he isn't still solid. Apparently this is too serious of a topic for some of the nancies on here though. I am worried about it because people decommit all the time. One of the aggies top verbals just switched over to LSU...It happens and it could happen to us...And I am not goign to stop "mentioning the possibility of our losing the Irving connection."

Your double negatives is really confusing the issue here. Would you mind clarifying your statement?
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Kids will be kids, however there is enough ego in most recruits to believe that they will help turn it around. This is particularly true at SMU where Coach Bennett just got a strong vote of confidence in the DMN. This year's recruit understands that this is not a top tier program (yet) and that isn't why they are interest in us. CUSA will help for media, however the recruit that wants a winner hasn't been interested in us for quite a long time.

Pk....english was never a strong suit...Where is the double negative? :hmm:

I guess my point was, barring grammatical errors, was that I think Chase is solid, but I think it may be a valid recruiting concern with our current verbals and people we are recruiting right now. And my other point was that CP told me to not even mention it again, but I just responded with the fact that we can't pansy around about certain things considering our football record...Hope that clears it up...
