I say the NCAA should tell him he is ineligible unless he has evidence and names names.

"turned it down out of principle and out of the fear of getting caught", lol. More likely it was all due to the fear of getting caught. At least the truth came out there.
I'm really curious what A&M offered them, certainly it wasn't the pleasure of living in aggie land.

makes me wonder how much the Aggie$ might have paid
Re: Ricky Seals Jones offered 600k, father says
If the father is admitting this happened and not a 3rd party accusation I m pretty sure he is telling the truth. You don't just put stuff like that out there for no reason.

Sure people do. Trying to draw attention to yourself, your son, maybe he's annoyed his son is overshadowed by johnny football. Maybe he's trying to say "oh look how good my son is. They offered him so much money. NFL scouts tune".Rebel10 wrote:If the father is admitting this happened and not a 3rd party accusation I m pretty sure he is telling the truth. You never know.... I for one call total BS on the 600K figure. Money? sure. That kind of money?

You do if you are writing a book.
But I do believe there is an NCAA rule or guide that says you are to report if someone is offering you illegal benefits to sign. And even if there is not, I still say you ask the kid who it was. If he will not tell and will not saying his father is lying then the kid is ineligible until the truth is determined. This would be a way to get this kind of stuff to stop.

"... one ACC and one SEC school offered to double any monetary figure the Seals-Jones family was weighing from another program."
Makes me wonder if A&M was the SEC team that doubled another school's offer!
