Montana State played one heck of a game. The Bobcats deserve plenty of credit. SMU does not. While it was a ‘thrilling’ 31-30 win, SMU should not be in a position to lose to an FCS team in year six of the June Jones era. It’s clear the Mustangs have plateaued under Jones, and SMU should strongly consider looking elsewhere when his contract expires if not sooner if it ever wants to take the next step.

What I think is funny is E.J. is best most accurate commentator on any SMU site-yet he picked us to beat Tech while Sam at Rivals has been relentlessly blowing kisses and sunshine everywhere and he picks us to lose by 20 to Tech. Its really hard to read any SMU board in the preseason when everybody has the August flu and obviously is suffering from delusions. But the good news is that Sam gave everybody A+ on our last recruiting class of super 2 star sleepers

I think EJ's team makes some very good observations in the practice reports. I enjoy hearing that.

Unfortunately, I also know for a fact that he takes quotes out of context just to stir things up. So that sometimes makes me wonder when he reports on negative things at practice if he is overemphasizing it to stir up conversation or if it is accurate.
