How the heck is he in front of the Oregon QB or the Oregon RB?

I think Bridgewater hurt his chances with a pretty pedestrian game against a very bad Kentucky team.

All depends on the voters...and I'm willing to bet most don't like him

Because Oregon hasn't played anyone yet.

They scored 59 points in 2 and a half quarters against an SEC team last weekend and had a similar demolition of an ACC team the week before. But I suppose A&M's 65 vs. SHSU is a similar result...sbsmith wrote:CalallenStang wrote:How the heck is he in front of the Oregon QB or the Oregon RB?

Impressive numbers but Tennessee is a mediocre SEC team and Virginia is a mediocre ACC team. Manziel jumped back to the front of the line after putting up historic numbers on the #1 team in the country. Mariota/Thomas won't have a chance for something similar until the Stanford game.

How is he the frontrunner? did you watch the Alabama game? Have you watched any game he has played in this year? I am not a fan of him, but he is something special (not sure how that will translate at the next level).

I am more impressed with Mike Evans than Manziel. What would Manziel's numbers look like if Evans was just another receiver?expony18 wrote:How is he the frontrunner? did you watch the Alabama game? +1 great college player. Incredible college player. Don't see it translating to the NFL, but that's not what the heisman is aboutexpony18 wrote:How is he the frontrunner? did you watch the Alabama game? way too early to talk Heisman stuff. Kind of stupid at this point. Let it play out.

I feel fortunate to have seen Manziel play at Smu last year, before most had heard of him. I remember saying to my nephew at that game, " if SMU had this QB(Manziel) and Aggies had ours, the score would be reversed..this kid is unbelievable!"
I hope he wins Heisman again.
