Gilbert!
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I missed most of the first half due to tv outage. I see Gilbert as a calm, poised QB. Granted there were plenty of dinks to the side, but he seems to throw with good accuracy and could probably blame the receivers for messing up his completion percent due to dropped balls. Thought he looked liked a stud or maybe a diamond amongst the rough.
Finally had an interception, but starting off this season fantastically.
Wanted to see him run more but happy with his patience trying to make the throw.
Also a special shout to the O line for giving him more time.
Now if we could just stop those flippin penalties!

Let's hope the coaches do a better job of preparing the players. When that many penalties occur that is on the coaches not having the players ready. This is not the first game this has happened.

It's like having a fantastic driver at the wheel of a clunker.

If the rest of the players had been BCS quality recruits like GG, then think of where we would be.

Granted GG was a highly regarded recruit but if we just had more players with bottom feeder BCS offers I think we would do better.

Re: Gilbert!
I think the guy's mind has been so messed up-he's so worried about throwing an interception that's he frightened to throw the ball downfield. He's building stats but we aren't doing jack w/o throwing the ball downfield. Later in the 2nd Half he finally looked like a real QB when he threw it downfield. I'm sure it was against 2nd string freshman though

Re: Gilbert!
Whenever he drop back to pass no one is open... Even espn said and showed complete coverage. We don't have an Emmanuel sanders. We don't have any one fast and strong. We have shrimp nobodies that drop passes like they were born to do it.Stallion wrote:I think the guy's mind has been so messed up-he's so worried about throwing an interception that's he frightened to throw the ball downfield. Re: Gilbert!
true.. our receivers are shrimps. how tall are JJ and DJ? They look tiny. I thought Holleman did pretty well last night. Big receiver and beat his man several times. JaBryce is a stud in the making.

Receivers go no separation last night, didn't help our main deep threat DT was out last night. Does anyone know his status?Lebanese4Life wrote:true.. our receivers are shrimps. how tall are JJ and DJ? They look tiny. I thought Holleman did pretty well last night. O-Line gave more time, but clearly was not prepared for that kind of environment, the only positive here is we will not play in any stadium nearly that loud for the remainder of the season.

Re: Gilbert!
WRs have been completely blanketed all season...in year six I guess no one still knows how to "read the safet" or whatever R-N-S bullshite they are supposed to be doing... defenses know exactly what we're doing...there's obviously no mystery
