Three-man pass rush is so useless

Here's the scenario: Second overtime, Rutgers is 3rd and 24 and we employ the three-man pass rush, ie, let's give their quarterback all day to throw. So what happens - Rutgers qb throws a touchdown pass.
Brilliant defensive call by SMU. Losers always find a way to lose.
