DMN said ... something

Post by smoodtwice »

I know DMN usually ignores the ponies. So, I usually do not even consult their sport section regarding college fb. However, there was large print on the main sports page that they moved us up in their "best in Texas poll." So I read it. Ouch. I definitely do not think that we have been good this year, but they are not impressed. Here is the breakdown after the rise.

1. A$M
2. Baylor
3. TTU
4. UT
5. TCU
6. Houston
7. Rice
8. SMU
9. North Texas
10. Texas State
11. UTSA
12. UTEP

Thats after we climbed ahead of NTCC and barely stayed ahead of Texas State. Depressing.

Here is the story.

I hate to admit it, but that seems about right to me.

Honestly, SMU or UNT, it's a toss up right now.

TCU and Houston are both better than UT.

I think 6-11 is a toss up. Not much separation. However the way JJ has been recruiting and training up this joke of a team, I would say really all the these teams could either best us bad especially the first 3 Qtrs and the bottom teams would challenge us and probably win by a toichdown. I'm hoping the 4th quarter shows up every quarter til the end but I extremely doubt it.

I wasn't arguing as much as just discussing how depressing it is this year, and this is from someone who went to every home game in 2003 and watched us lose 6.

Looks like Deadspin agrees and has SMU #93 and UNT #94 overall. I know it does not mean anything. I just encountered it today.

that would be a great game this year-especially with A&M weakness in pass rush (4 sacks on year) and a riddled secondary

I think we would struggle mightily against UTSA.

We'd lose if the game was played at their Dome.
