Memphis @ Houston

Post by GreenbeltPony »

I wasn't able to watch the game, but the final score is a little surprising. Is Memphis better than usual or is Houston worse (or both)? I want to believe that those games will be Ws.

Memphis is definitely better than they've been the past few seasons. We face them both on the road (we're 8-24 on the road under June Jones). Both these teams will run all over us.

Memphis defense didn't look too bad. Don't think they scored a touchdown. Crowd sparse.

I've watched several Memphis games. They will give us a tough game. IMO they could have/should have beaten cougar high- lots of questionable calls against them- but then again they were playing in h-town.

I said before season I could see us losing to Memphis and it being our one bad Tulane like games. Hope not, but they are improved more than we think. Houston got 2 calls clearly in their favor even TV guys said so or it could have been closer game still.

Hey CK- really impressed with the 4500 cougar high fans that showed up for the game. BTW- can we bring a couple of our refs to our game with you or are you going to insist that they all be pro- cougar high.

SBS- you not only can't count but are disillusioned as well. Hope your boss at 7-11 doesn't know your problems. Take a look at some of the pics of the game. No way is h-town b-12 or sec material. Hell, their texans can't even get to the super bowl.

I think you might have misunderstood my comment. By posting those numbers I was demonstrating that there aren't even enough people in Houston that care about Coog High to fill up a tiny soccer stadium (obviously there were far fewer actually in attendance). Big 12/SEC football is a much bigger deal there (due to the amount of Horns and Aggies in the town) than Coog High (who will never be in either conference).
