AL,
Clearly you are a die-hard SMU supporter. I also know you were extremely enthusiastic about the JJ hire.
Just curious as to what your thoughts are today about the state of our FB program and your opinion now of JJ vs 6 years ago.

He was. And I thought "just another hit and run" was an early Def Leppard song.
Are we talking SMU football or classic rock/metal bands here?'
O.K either way.

Re: Alex Lifeson Question
My thoughts on the program in a nutshell. In some ways, June has done what he was hired to do. I really appreciate what he has done, but we peaked a couple of years ago and have started to decline. Most fans have lost faith in June for various reasons. Clear visible evidence, is attendance for home and away games. I know some people don't want to hear it, but until we have an administration that is 100% committed to the final necessary pieces of the puzzle, we will never be much more than what we are today. It's why JJ tried to bail for ASU. Having an aggressive, tireless, energetic staff to recruit, could win a couple more games per season. Until you have both on the same page, SMU will continue to be the posterchild for underachievement. Look at Baylor and TCU, we could do the same thing, but SMU continues to be it's own worst enemy.

So you blame the administration? What exactly could they be doing that they aren't doing already?

This is a great statement. I think the hope is that LB is pushing through some of the stuff JJ couldn't, so the second experienced coach coming in and showing how things need to change is having an impact, and could be positive moving forward for the football program.
