hmm I'm surprised Cincy QB didn't win it over Gilbert. He only threw about 4-5 incompletions.

QBs were a combined 65-79 for 83%. I would not be surprised if that is the highest cumulative percentage in SMU game history

Might have been a Pony Express vs. UT wishbone game that had that had back in the day. Did they ever really match up, many of my brain cells from those days have died.Stallion wrote:QBs were a combined 65-79 for 83%. Neat to see a good young man weather the storm and succeed. That is what football is about, overcoming adversity and fighting every play to do your best to help your team win. Good for you Garrett and congratulations.

Congrats to Gilbert! Man, are we going to miss him next year. I guess we just enjoy the ride now. I'm having more fun looking at his stats than our record (have to find SOMETHING positive) . . . it's just a damn shame that that offensive firepower isn't being match at all by an even semi-competent defense. They can't defend the pass but they make up for it by not being able to tackle.

What if we had this year's offense and last year's defense? Wow.ojaipony wrote:Congrats to Gilbert! Man, are we going to miss him next year. I guess we just enjoy the ride now. great job GG, keep it rolling ... proud for you. This years "O" with last years "D" would be nice ... but this years "O" with the "D" two years ago, the one that ended 26th in the nation would be even sweeter.
